Yaesu Reader is finally available!
Finally there are two firmware files available for the HamPod. First is a version that supports both the FT-857 and FT-897. The second has support for the FT-450, FT-450D, FT-950, FTDX1200, FTDX5000MP and the new FTDX101D and FTDX101MP. Note that for the FT-857 and FT-897, you need aserial cable to connect your radio to the serial port on the HamPod. This cable has an 8 pin male MiniDin connector for the radio end and a female DE-9 DSub connector for the HamPod. These are getting difficult to find. The last two cables I bought on eBay were wired incorrectly and would never work so be careful.
The Yaesu Reader is supplied with a 6 foot serial cable, 9 volt DC wall power supply and a null modem cable adapter to connect to a PC for flash updrades. Please download and read through the manuals from the link below for more details and see how much the HamPod Yaesu Reader does for Yaesu accessibility.

Important Update Note!
As of 02/01/2019, the HamPod is now shipping with a new version of the Microchip CPU processor which has twice the flash memory available for firmware. This is needed to accommodate some combinations of firmware builds that require the extra memory space. When downloading firmware from these pages, you need to be sure to get the version for the processor chip currently in your HamPod. Firmware versions that starts with v1.xx is for the older CPU while v2.xx if for the new CPU. Check the manual for your HamPod to see how to access the version number. On most radio firmware, you can do this by attempting to send a frequency of 777 to the radio.
